Man ya'll it's been sooo hot lately!! Its been like 90 degrees and above all week and the humidity sucks around here!!! I work at a retriever training kennel some of may have heard of called War Eagle Retrievers, we are located in North West Arkansas. Everyday now we have to battle the heat and keep an eye on the dogs to make sure that they dont get too hot. We have a gooseneck dog trailer that holds 18 dogs and has 2 breezways and built in fans to suck the heat out. We keep a water bucket in each hole for the dogs. But even with all of this we just can't escape the heat!! We have a kennel that has 30 runs in it and 4 big chicken house fans in the back so that there is plenty of air flow. This setup makes things really convenient and safe, but just wondering what ya'll do about the heat where you live and what do you regular joes like me that don't have an enclosed kennel do ? I have my 7month old walker at home everyday in his pen and keep plenty of cold water in there for him, but I worry about him overheating everyday. His pen is covered and so he has shade, but when I get home he is hot and I just get worried that I'm gonna come home someday and he'll be"overheated."
