I was just wondering how often yall clean out ya kennels? I saw on here where someone said they cleaned theirs once a week. I have a 20X20 pen that I built recently and it's got my 7 month old blue dog and a lil fiest in it and I'm tellin ya, I clean the poop up every day(unless it's rainin). I can't imagine what my pen would look like with a weeks poop in it cause it's pretty bad sometimes from day to day.

when i got my coonlite from the guy down the road i worked alot of the price off by cleaning his kennels 1nce a week is what he said so i did he had alot more dogs then u got it took hours to clean it up per dog it wasnt to bad u got two. I WILL TELL U THIS WITH HIS KENNEL SIZE IF U WAIT A WEEK WATCH WERE U STEP!!!!!!!!!!!
i've used off the ground kennels for 35 yrs and have no problems with worms or other parisites. 2x2 floors set 3/4 of an inch apart. everything falls through to the ground and i clean under them once a week. in the winter i clean under them before the first big snow and then again after the spring thaw. cost about $250 to build one and they last about 10 to 15 years.i've used every kind of set up for kennels ,cement with septic tanks under ground, dirt and chains with dog houses. i prefer the off the ground kennels i build. i built them and used them before scotts ever thought of them.old man turned me on to the idea when i first started. i use em for coondogs and beagles.i've never had a dog have any problems with their legs or feet.i have several friends that also use them and you can take them with you if you move........TC

I clean up any time I see poop.The longest it stayed on the ground was my work day or the nights sleep.I think it is disgusting to leave poop around at all.
I use a 50/50 mix of bleach and water once a week out of a sprayer on the entire yard.I also use Lime twice a month on the entire yard.That gets the urine that soaked into the dirt cleaned.
There is no excuse for a nasty yard.You expect alot from your dogs...then you had better dang well commit to the same high standards yourself!
if i wouldn't clean it every day the hole kennel would fill with sh**. i just think its a good idea to keep it clean hat to see anything having to step on sh** all day long.
my dogs never step in sheeeat. i can clean when ever i get to it. once a week or once every 2 months.check out the post on off ground kennels or raised kennel floors...................TC

I clean every day when the weather is warm and once a week when it freezes because it almost always warms up 1 day a week were I can scrape it out easier in the winter, and their should only be one pile of crap a day is what the vets have told me other wise they are eating to much if their is alot

cooncrazy44 it may be bigger than that just a rough estimate lol i dont have but 3 walkers they have all the room in the world to play run around do what ever lol
