how have you guys got along with wood pen frames. Like 5x5 posts for corners and 2x4s running to post. Im bout to move into a house family owns and i got alot of concrete already layed at angle with wash out in back. use to be a dog kennel there. im looking at like a 20ft by 75ft running slab. Ok well our metal frame panels are geting rottin. in i was considering a wood frame. just wanting to no what you did to protect from water rot on bottom and if dogs chewed on it bad.
P.S we have over 1000ft of 6ft chainlink and we own a sawmill so wood and fencing is plenty.
maybe some pictures of what you guys have down would help!! thanks bunch adam

I have a 10foot wide x 12 foot long x 6ft high wooden kennel i put to gether before i got my premade ones. It works well.
I used 4x4x10 posts with 2x4 beams across the sides. used my backhoe to dig the holes and filled it in with concrete. I can't even budge the pen. its more sturdy then the (2) 400.00 pens i bought.
