They are only pregnant for 2 months (63 days is average). Most people rest them up for the last 2 weeks or so.

I hunted my female up to 2 weeks before she went. Everything went perfectly and she had 8 beautiful pups. She actually went 4 days before her scheduled date and we were away at a bench show. We got home and she had had all of them, they were clean, warm, and nursing happily. :D

When should you stop hunting your dog when she's pregnant? I got a litter coming in 2-3 weeks. She's as big as a house but still moves just fine. Just wondering if I should keep hunting her or not?

I had a female that we treed a coon with shot it out. Went home put her up and the next evening she had a litter of pups...ill admit it was an accidental breeding and I didn't know exactly when she was due just new she was close.I bought her off a guy who had Black and Tans...she was a walker and he swore up and down she didn't get bred there..but all pups come out looking exactly like Black and Tans except with little white patches on their chest and paws...so he was full of it
