Love coyote hunting. We hunt near the Bussey, Albia, Lovilla area in southern Iowa. We run a mix of Walker July and Crohgan. How big is your group and what is your hunting areas like? We have anywhere from 5-12 of us on weekends. We hunt some big some small sections, most with big ditches or strip pit mounds. We all use high powers. On a good day we will have 8-10 dogs out.

Oh just depends a lot on the day on whose out but usually 4-5 guys during the week and up to 10-12 on the weekend. I hunt in about every type of ground. Big timbers to flat open sections. I go to a lot of field trials south of Albia and know quite a few of people over in the area.

Had some yote hounds.. just sold them due to lack of people to run with.. I had a good coldnosed start dog, open on cold trail and hot track.. And a younger bitch that was a good catch and bay dog.. Just couldn't get any hunters to come and help me out.. Its big country up here with few roads to cut in on.. Average run for me was 15 - 20 miles unless the hounds caught the yote first... your on KC's aren't you.. T
