I have a 3 year old walker male who has fell flat on his face. I was pushing him in the hunts and winning the majority of my cast by treeing coons, before he was about an 80% accurate hound now I'm lucky to see 4 coons outta ten trees. This has all happened within the last month. Any one else experienced anything like this or know what it could be. I WOULD HAVE called him a finished dog. He acts fine, weight is good etc. Still will bust a hole in the dark he just isn't accurate anymore. Thank you for reading.

How does he do by himself? I've had young hounds when hunted by themselves were dead on almost never missed a coon by themselves. Then I made the mistake of hunting them with a tree grabber/slick treeing hound and they would honer them. You stated that you pushed him in the hunts, if they are not real solid it's in the hunts that you will find quick strike, quick tree , bark when they are cut off the leash kind of hounds. And for a young hound none of this is positive to the young hound . You just might start him all over by himself and see how it goes.
