what time frame defines a cold track?
There is no way to define it. It depends on sooooooo many things. Time of year, temp, weather conditions, the specific dog your using and there ability to get excited over older tracks. What is a cold track to one dog is smokin hot to another and on and on. In a nutshell, if a coon crosses the road in front of you, that track is hot. If the coon crossed the road at 7 am and you put your dogs on it at 7 pm that would be a cold track, but this is just an example. There are too many degree's of hot and cold and too many types of dogs to define it on simple terms. I hope that helps.
