I have a 5 year old walker I bought from a young guy that said the dog would tree and was healthy. Well he was right about the treeing part but took him to the vet and he had everything but aids and I don't think they tested him for that lol. Any ways I got him healthy and treated him for heart worm and is heart worm free now. When I take him hunting he will tree and everything and come to me but is alittle shy. At home when on the chain he is scared and will run away even when I feed him. Is there anyway to break him of this?

The fastest and best way to break a dog of shyness. Is withhold food until they eat in front of you.It can take up to 3 days if they are extremely shy. Most dogs eat the second day ..It won't hurt the dog a all not eating.Just make sure that have fresh water

Yea just set it out there grab a beer and if he won't walk and eat it by the time you finish your beer pick it up and go back to the house. I also use hot dogs sooner or later he will want it so bad he will give up an come to you to get it.
