could she be running something besides a coon you think?
I believe she has been running deer I'm new to Coon hunting so I didn't really know what to look for but by her tone in her voice I believe it has been deer
If I think one of mine are bothering deer ill drive around til I find one, run them off then get the dog out to see how it acts. I've used shockers but sometimes just growl them. And that's for any game I don't want them to run. I have that when she was that age would stop at 600 yards then come back. Now at 2 1/2 she has no limits and sometimes goes miles. Some nights I miss those days.
I understand not wanting a "me too" dog but I like to get mine around a lot of dogs hunting or not just to make sure there comfortable incase you ever plan on hunting them with other dogs.
