My first year trapping in Northern Pa. What do you all do with possums when you catch them? Are they worth skinning?

Been trapping Nebraska for many years. Best way to get a skunk is buy or make a kill pole. That is a syringe on a 6 or 8 foot pole. Fill syringe with acetone or buy stuff from the vet. Walk up and inject the skunk. As long as the skunk is looking at you face to face your fine. If it starts stamping its feet, slow down til it calms down. Move slow and easy, then stick it in the ribs with the pole injecting into its lungs. Dead in seconds no spray.
Then you can extract the essence to sell, skin it to sell the fur then clean and sell the skull. An easy 20 bucks if done right. 10 for the essence 5 or 10 for the fur and 5 for the skull.
If it sprays soak the fur in a mixture of peroxide dawn dish soap and baking soda. Gets the smell out. Also clean the trap in this mix, recoil and wax the trap and its good to go. Baking soda and peroxide work great to get skunk smell out of everything.
