I have fed hounds raw meat for years and never had a problem with worms. If your dogs are on a proper worming regimen you shouldn't have to worry at all. Chicken is costly but coin meat is free in hide season!! In the last few years I have gone from wild meat. I now buy a used up old horse at the sales barn and butcher it it supplies enough meat for a winter for many dogs and is cheap. The last old horse I bought only cost me 8 cents a pound. An old horse also makes a cheap bait pile for my wolf trapline as well. There's no labour to it as you can walk the horse right out to your set location and don't have to carry bags or buckets of meat or drag a big Ol carcass through the bush.
