I got my pup at age 52 days now 69 days old. He has had diarrhea ever since I brought him home. Normal puppy behavior; playful, alert. Appetite normal. No blood in stool. No grass eating. All shots and wormer up to date. Growing but ribs show between meals. Feeding Purina puppy chow. He does not appear to be sick at all. Anyone know what might be going on with him?

I am by no means a vet and I am not sure if this has anything to do with it but I have been having problems with purina. Vomiting and diarrhea are the main symptoms. I switched to diamond and it solved the problem. No signs of attitude change just digestive issues.

Stool is still real thin and he threw up today. I plan to start transition to Diamond tomorrow. Still wants to play. Any other suggestions or diagnostics?

Take him and a stool sample to the vet would probably answer all your questions.

The vet asked me what kind of wormer I used. It was safe guard; the kind you sprinkle on like salt. He said that wouldn’t get them and gave me Forti-flora made by Purina. That was 2 days ago and the stool is lookin’ a little better. The pup was runnin’ a little fever too so he gave me antibiotics.
