i have a walker female 2 yrs old, i think is having trouble shedding her winter coat. she is blanket back, and when you rub her coat across the grain, underneath of her black hair, she has a brown and white undercoat. and i noticed her shedding some. so i took a comb and brushed her coat for about 30 minutes. when i would comb her black hair, i would only pull out white and brown hair in the comb. so at least she will be cooler in this hot weather. any suggestions would be totally appreciated. she gets hot at the tree too, sometimes when treed she gets hot and lays down

Keep brushing daily. Mine shed off and on through the hottest part of the summer.

I agree with Buckshot, those furminators are amazing. Cost you a pretty penny too. A good one, where I work, costs the customer 60 bucks. With my discount (cost + freight) I pay about 30. They're expensive, but if you have the money, a good deal.
