I have a five year old english male that keeps having eye problems. It seems to be a gland under his third eyelid that gets irritated and makes him not be able to use his eye. The vet wants to remove this eyelid. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so your input would be a great help. Just hate to let someone cut close to his eye. Thanks

If you do a search on "cherry eye" you'll find tons of information. Generally it is a simple surgery that doesn't cost a lot but it is preferable to have the vet tuck it back in than to remove it.
