toe cutter this is steve from wisconsin. That female i was trying to get rid of out of mack and patches isnt going any where right now. i have been able to work her on some drags and she is starting to come around . my wife informed that "deevil" is no longer available, my wife has been woking on getting some of the shyness out of her. next step is to get her on some live training aids. My son was all for getting rid of her also until this last week he says she has the best nose of all the hounds we own I guess time will tell. "Fella" (mack x suzy) is in northern wis if anybody is interested in a breeding. I haven't coon hunted him much but he was coming on as a bear dog last summer. he has the loudest mouth of any dog that i or anybody in my hunting group have heard.

i've always thought a coon in a cage, to a pup,the coon is standing its ground. i have always had better luck letting a coon go so the pup gets brave thinking the coon is running from it. but i always start them with a fresh dead coon for the first introduction to a pup. good luck and i sure hope she comes around for ya Steve.

TC.. Been a awhile since I posted on here. My son and I have been hunting Rocko alot by himself. He is doing really well. His mouth is changing some but he is still loud as ever. I hunted him in a UKC hunt this last weekend he done very well. Very fast on a track and independent. Will not tree unless he is sure of himself. I hope that you can get some more pups out of ole Mack.

just google - brucellosis in dogs. kinda makes ya not want to hunt with others dogs unless they are clean too. it will make em sterile. i always thought it was only through breeding a dog could get it,but i see it aint the case after i read up on it.
