my family and i do alot of shooting so i buy whats cheap and usually buy 5 to 10 thousand rounds at a time.the only difference i have noticed is round nose lead bullets cycle better in my autos while the hollow points hit harder so i prefer them for hunting and as far as long range shooting cci min mags are a good choice.
ya might wanna check your state laws on what you can shoot turkeys with.
I use the Remington subsonic rounds, they aren't much louder than a cap gun and really drive the coon out. Don't do much damage either. They made my gun a lot more accurate than the smaller, faster rounds i used before. Use a lot fewer shots to knock em out too. The most i've used on a coon is two and only because he was in a forked limb.

Usually I use whatever is the cheapest to practice or mess around with. This year I've been using the CCI SGB .22 long rifle flat nose (small game bullet) I really like them a lot
Personly it does not matter on the load its all about your shot placement. I have tookin lots of coons with my gamo 177 cal pellet gun. I shoot stingers, and mini mags, and REM gold point HP. A good head shot and it is all it takes
I use federal hollow points , the kind in the 525 round bulk pack. They cycle great out of my Remington 597. Very few jams. They shoot great! Plus they are affordable for a day at the range and kill coons real good.
