I have secided to trade in my old tracking unit for a garmin. Anyone know of a good place (also a good price) to buy one. I have checked a couple of places cabelas, gander mountain and night light. I have been watching ebay but am a little leary about buyin' such expensive stuff off there.

When I bought mine the cheapest place I found was erwincomp.com

I also bought additional dc30 collars through them.

Everyone is selling used Garmin's for more than what this Brand New is being sold for ... What is up with that and should the used ones be cheaper

reason is when they bought them they was $599 plus $200 for the dc30 collars.thats $799.i've seen them for $460 for the units, and $150 for the collars if you buy them at the same time.$610.thats $30 more that they paid for just the system.i don't think they're high priced just trying to get so money back. garmin just dropped their prices.

Do A Google search---got mine two months ago for 459 with one collar--just bought another brand new collar--not a factory rebuild for 142. Shipping included. Had a Tracker Maxima--gave it away to a young hunter after using the Garmin. Absolutely the best thing ever to happen to hunting !!

I got my Garmin from Double U Graphics out of washington. I paid 499.00 for it, the reason I went with this place is that they have a loner program if you send yours in to get repaired they will set you up with a replacment. I hope I dont ever need it but it is a nice safety net.
