Ive got a B&T female with alot of Wells blood on the bottom side, 1st 2nd and 3rd gen. TN Black indian outlaw, Squaw indian lady, TN cajun black diamond, Wells and riddles midnight, Black super ace, Black beauty.
Just cant find too much information on these dogs specifically. Just looking for characteristics and hunting ability. This dog is pretty much Wells and Ed Abels blood on her dam's side. Thanks

Just saw your post today, thought I'd offer what I could. In 2000 I bought a female pup out of Able's Indian Outlaw. I had at that time one dog, a hightan male that was the product of old style breeding (best to best) irregardless of color. He was what I call "papered" but not registered. His dominant bloodline was Smokey River Blue, however his color reflected Black & Tan. Wanting to raise our own stock and prefering the B\T color we selected "Sooner Black&Tans because we knew one of the handlers.

The female pup was very gritty, but lacked the go yonder that her pedigree offered. She made an average coondog with lots of style on the tree. Her first litter of pups (Of which we kept 4 ) produced the go, the grit and the stamina but suffered at the tree. Two of the four made tree dogs. We spaded the female we had purchased and also the 3 females we had kept. We kept one male(that was a tree dog) whole. We currently have two 5yr. Old dogs (out of that male and a hightan female) that I consider balanced hounds. They hunt extremelly hard, know how to move a track and are solid on the tree. I will most likely put some "Sooner blood back in when the opportunity presents itself.
