In all seriousness, ya pry shouldn't breed him then. Just my opinion, if ya breed him to a gyp with more tree, ya will pry end up with pups half a litter of pups that can tree and half that won't. If the dog aient the complete package, he pry shouldn't be bred. JMO

never seen one yet i could not get to tree harder. young dog or an old dog.
tie him back on some coon he trees alone. just roll them out and leave it just out of his reach.then after he is wound up dont let him touch it,drag him back to the truck. it will take a few or a few more, but you will find you have more tree dog then what you think you have.
another thing is he is only 16 months old. you honestly never really know what a dog is or is not till they are around 3yrs old.
as far as breeding, lets say he is a weak tree dog as far as bpm and stays like that, if you breed him to a hard treeing female, some of the pups will be like her and some will be like him. you would have to weed them out and find the maybe one that runs a track like him and trees like her.
when you cross 2 dogs you want both dogs to have all the traits you want. the more desired traits both dogs have the more pups per litter will have those same desired traits. dont matter if it comes from the mother or the father its the same desired trait.
