this is to establish a thread that can hopefully be the go-to for all Louisiana hunters with out having 19 different threads for LA hunters plus it'll probably make things simpler for us to use and buckshot to review..

Singer Coonhunters Assoc. has a UKC Nite Hunt, Saturday, August 15th, & Friday nite, August 21st. The hunts will be held at The DeQuincy Lions Club. Its beside the Airport, off of Hwy 12, west side of DeQuincy, La. Contact Mark Nix, 337-344-2554. Deadline for Entry will be at 8:30p.m.. Hope to see you there.

Thad, Nope I woulda liked to have gone just didnt know about it, dont comp hunt, been thinkin bout tryin it if my pup turns out good tho, so I mite go to 1 thats close just to see how things work.

I went and donated to the club LOL! My dog struck a cold track right off the bat and worked it for about the first 1 1/2 hours until he finally treed. Only one other dog in my cast and he had made two trees with the meat by that time. Didn't get on anything else.

how's the summer hunting coming? went to some cornfields around Ferriday this past weekend and didn't hit a track, i guess they moved earlier in the day being as the only coons i seen all weekend were at 11:00 AM and 5 til twelve. i guess the moon has their habits messed up

Its kinda hit & miss for me right now!!! Some nights we have a good hunt, then others, we may not hit anything. Its been hot & dry down here, we finally got a little rain, so hopefully the hunting will get a little better.

seen 4 coons today at around 330 to 5 this afternoon...had some rain move in last night musta made em move in the early am and come out a lil earlier this evening
