I dont know what the law is but I go get my dogs where ever they go. I try not to turn them loose where they will get out of pocket but sometimes that dont help, last night they run off of our lease across one property onto another and we had to go get em or they would be there on the tree all night. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do! The good thing is no one lives within 7 miles from our lease.

In Alabama as long as you don't take a gun you have the right to get your dog.

I'm not sure what the laws are here in Ga. But we go get our dogs without a gun if they ever get on someone else property. Never had a problem yet. That is a good qn though. Might need to ask your local DNR and see what they say. Think I'm gonna ask mine just to be sure.
