No offense taken. I feel the same way for my redbones as you do for your blues. They tree, like you said, hole or no hole there is a coon where they're at just cut the tree down and see. I got redbones 8 yrs ago cause eveyone I knew or heard of coonhuntin' then had walker dogs and I wanted to be different, know what I mean.

I know what you mean Joey! I do have 2 Walkers as well, but the first dogs I got were a Bluetick and a Redbone. I've taken a lot of junk about my dogs since I got them, but I didn't want to have what everyone else has.

Joey,

The reason I said not to take offense is because it sounded like you were. I never said yours or anyone else's redbones wouldn't tree. I just stated that it was the first time I had ever seen a redbone tree and that it just so happened to be a opposum. I KNOW there are redbones that are just as good as anything else. As far as that goes, I'm colorblind! I don't care what they look like if they get the job done. Hell, I'd hunt the hell out of a poodle if they would consistently tree me a coon!!!

They are starting to move and be on the outside where you can see them. Feb. 17-19 we seen 9 coons and 3 big den trees. Hunting upstate and they are starting to move good.

I sure am glad to hear that! I haven't been in a couple weeks because I've been out of town showing one of my hounds, but I'm hoping to give it a go when I get home from Walker Days Saturday.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with Walkers. I'm happy with the two I have. I've just always liked to have something a little different LOL, and I do love Blueticks...
