Post subject:  Ga Hunters!

Hello, my name is Jenna and I live in Cobb County GA. I adopted an 18-24 month old purebred Walker Hound (male) in May of 08.
I am looking to find someone in GA who is willing to take him out on a “test hunt” to see if he already knows how to tree a coon.
Jackson has one ear with the tip bitten off. Vet seems to think it’s a coon bite and that he was a working hound before he
showed up at the shelter. My family does not hunt; however, Jackson has been relentless on numerous occasions in our
backyard over rats and chipmunks. I’ve never seen a coon in our yard. The only way I got him to leave the tree was to
physically go out and put him on his leash and take him inside. His bark is totally different when he’s got something trapped!

Unfortunately, my family is not going to be able to keep Jackson because I have been diagnosed with a chronic illness.
If he proves to be a good treeing dog, then I will offer him to hunters. If not, then I will stick to offering him to families’
who want a larger sized dog. I am looking for the RIGHT home for him, not just ANY home for him. Is anyone willing in the GA
area to help test him out in the field for me?
I prefer to do this with someone who has another dog to go along with, and
who uses a tracking collar system. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks. I can be contacted at
404-422-5894 or 678-354-7486. Just ask for Jenna. My email is jmsigns@juno.com
