How is every body doing this season. Here the past couple week it's gotten rough trying to tree some coons. Weather can't make up its mind if it wants to stay warm or cold. Was doing really well before then. Is every body else doing the same or any better?

Yeah in the past two weeis I think we shot out 1. But end of Oct and first part of Nov we would have a coon in every tree and I know they are still there because I won't shoot out more than one a night just to keep some around to run. Idk. A buddy of mine said he shot on in the middle of the day a couple weeks ago. He said it looked sick and wouldn't run from him.

I hunt alot in ohio co. And we havent had any problems treeing coons. Coons are ruttin right now and sometimes that ole bore will runa half a mile before he goes up. I try to get out their early this time a year cuz just like any ruttin animal they will move more when they are suppose to be asleep. Makeing it hard for any hound to smell a track once the frost falls. But im hunting a 14 month old and a 6 month old walker pups. Older dogs might do a lil better.

Ok we have been getting out a little later at night due to work and family life. That may be what's going on. We have been hunting a three year old and a 8 year old dog along with a 6 month old pup. It snowed tonight so I'm hoping they will be moving tmrw night. Be a while since I've hunted in the snow, looking forward to it.
