Hey everyone,
I've got a 4 year old redbone I adopted from the pound about three years ago. He is a great inside dog, does great off leash when there are no distractions, but when he sees another dog (walk, dog park) he goes nutters! I don't know what to do.. he was a year old when i got him and clearly wasn't socialized. He is not aggressive, but his idea of fun is to Chase every dog in the park and bay in their face... Which usually starts unhappy dogs and worried owners since be is so loud.
I'm wondering if there is anyone near Pensacola who hunts their hounds I could go out with, see if he could learn some manners. If he's a good hunting dog I would probably let someone have him. When I deploy he will be too much for my patents to handle, he is too strong for my mom.

Hey my name is mike mine is 2 or so and did the same thing. the only thing that I could do was hold him on a leash while a lot of stuff(dogs, cats, people) was happening around him. Got him to keep focus on me and kept at it till he was less dominate towards everything and calmed down. It took about a month he is really playful.
