Hey I'm heading down to the new Orleans area and I'm lookin for somebody to hunt with. I'm told Mississippi is not to far away. Any body have any tips for hunting areas and or thoughts this northern hunter should know!

Near the coast just about all the woods are swamp, but you run into dry land about an hour or so from New Orleans. The woods are THICK and because of the hurricanes there are a lot of blow downs, but every once in a while you will find some clean woods.

Ya that's what I was afraid of!!! I was down near Tampa fl last year and the hunting was awful! Sounds like Louisiana isn't going to be much better! But I'm headed down there a week from tomorrow! Was hopping to find some company for my young red dog!
