Hey all, I'm a new coon hunter in the Tallahassee area with a 1yr old blue dog.

I was wondering if any of you north Florida hunters out there are going to the upcoming UKC nite hunts in Bristol (10/22) or Chipley (10/29) and want to pleasure hunt after the official nite hunts (or any time, really)

The reason I ask is that my dog is just now developing the attention span to stay on tree. He was just shown his first caged coon yesterday and did really well, but I really need some older, practiced hounds to run him with and show him the ropes. He's gentle as a lamb and won't fight in the box or on the tree - although he might lick another dog sopping wet trying to be friendly.

I'd like him to run with competition dogs if I can, as I'm hoping to get into that side of things. Plus, I know comp dogs won't fight at tree and won't (usually) run trash.

But if you've got a good older dog that you'll vouch for, I'm game on just about any night during the week except Fridays!
