Why is it that there are posts everywhere on here that say please delete, but posts that ask a simple question get deleted right off? Seems like in this dying sport you guys that have been around alot would be glad to share some of that stored up knowledge with us new guys trying to get going and maybe keep the sport alive. Maybe someone already asked the question but I did a search on it and couldnt find anything. Maybe there should be a warning on here saying don't waste your time writing a post it will just get deleted.

Your thread on asking about the Garmin in the General Forum section was deleted because your topic has been beat to death in the Product Reviews and Discussions section............Add to one of many on the topic instead of starting another whole topic on them.

As far as your warning, check out this sticky thread in the Site News and Announcement section: viewtopic.php?f=88&t=48670

Also check out the SEARCH tip thread in the Concerning Site and Forum Issues section on tips on using the SEARCH feature: viewtopic.php?f=52&t=77043

As far as the threads listed as deleted and are not deleted, this thread in the Concerning Site and Forum Issues section explains: viewtopic.php?f=52&t=111718

Sorry Mr. Administrator I failed to spend a day or two reading the sites rules and regulations pages. As far as a warning, REALLY. Good site but to many rules to follow.

Rules are not created UNTIL a need comes to have to be rules to address issues -- Or we get the "I didn't know I couldn't do that" -- so we spell out the rules in the open. Some rules we shouldn't even have to address - racist comments, porn, and etc......But again, UNTIL a need comes.

LOL, have you seen the rules for the Kennel Club Nite Hunts? All those rules just to coon hunt? Heck, UKC even has an Advisor book to breakdown rules and scenarios of the Rules.

Yea rules everywhere.

At the bottom of the Registration Page before folks register, we have a BOLD statement mentioning the rules and after fols register, the welcome email again mentions the the rules.

Rules is what keeps the ship sailing smoothly.....Rules are everywhere in life, school rulebook, employee manual, laws we live by each day, and etc...

No different that UKC and PKC - different Kennel Clubs, different rules........................Example: Hunt in UKC hunt and compete against all dogs in all cast in your class. Hunt in PKC and only compete against dogs in your cast. If you don't like the rules of one the Kennel Club, you can chose to hunt the other.

What is nice, is folks have different choices to choose from. Just as there are different choices of Kennel Club to choose what Nite Hunts you want to Hunt, same thing with these Hound Hunting sites -- different choices of Hound Hunting sites to choose.

Each Hound Hunting site has their own rules and policies. After running this site for over 10 years now, rules make our jobs alot easier.

That is why we have this philosophy: The forum rules and way it is operated is what it is............folks can either accept it or they can find another hound forum as CoonDawgs.com is not the only one on the net.

Rules suck!! I get it............but the other side of the coin is the Admin/Mods and running a site with nearly 30,000 members.
