Post subject:  Deleting Classified Ads - How it works

Due to the amount of classified ads on the forum as well as the request we receive daily to delete an ad once you sold something, we have an automatic prune/delete feature in the classified sections.

The automatic classified prune/delete feature automatically deletes ads that have not be responded to within 45 days.

AFTER YOU SELL SOMETHING:

When you have sold what your selling or no longer offering what you listed for sale, go to your ad and click on the EDIT button and edit your subject header to say SOLD -- that will prevent new post in your thread as well as stop people from contacting you on what you are selling.

By editing your post subject to say SOLD -- your not wasting potential buyers time or your time with contacting each other over something you already sold.

**NOTE** If you continue to post "sold" or "delete" in the ad after the initial first time, all you are doing is restarting the clock for it to be automatically deleted.

If you continue to post "sold" or "delete" or "some text" to purposely bumped the ad back to the top to have it deleted per our Bumping Policy (basically trying to force our hand to delete the ad even though we have a system in place), it will not be ad that is the one deleted.
