I caught a possom last night in my trap and I didnt no what to do with it so i killed it is that what yall do if yall catch possoms.Any info will be apriceated.thanks

me and my buddies in the summer drive around on backroads and chase em down and catch em. its alot of fun lol, if there movin. i caught 6 out of 7 and there were 4 people, and i was the 1 drivin lol. 2many sissys wit me is all

possums have a bacteria in thier urine that causes horses to go blind if they eat hay that has been urinated on by a possum. so shoot and don't feel bad!

its called possums disease, and we had 1 get it, but it didnt go blind, jus lost bout 400 pounds in 2 weeks. actually had 2. the 2nd 1 survived, barely. its a bad deal.

i kill every one i see but they do do a good thing sometimes though they eat dead stuff. That way it isnt siting there stinking.

i kill them but as i was growing up i new this old african american couple that ate them and i would take them to them but if you dont know anyone that eats them kill them thay make good bait for traping certain animals.

I dont even know where to start, but i dont kill animals unless it serves a purpose, during season i trap as many oppossums as i can, i dont like them, they get into my fox and coyote traps and my coon traps, they are a nuisance, but i let go the ones i catch out of season, the only reason is during season they are worth a buck a piece, that aint much money, but when you catch 50-100 of em a season, thats an extra 50-100 bucks, it makes for a nice little bonus on top of my fur check. Just think about how much extra dog food you could buy with all your possums lol. they take less than a minute to skin so i sell them. i know some guys who shoot everyone they see cuz they dont want their dogs runnin them, well all i got to say about that is BREAK your dogs off the trash, i have kicked hundreds of possums out of my cage traps and within the next night or two been pullin coons out, they dont always come back, as a matter of fact hey more than likely wont for a while, if you caught another one the next night, it was probably a different possum, i aint sayin it dont happen, but more than likely they are so shook up from the experience of bein in an open trap all day, they would rather find food somewhere else.
