im tryin to catch a coon for my dog in a foothold cuz thats all i got dont have any box traps so i got a cubbie set but coon keeps stealin bait an trap is set with like 1lb of tension would set in off i got giude sticks an everything but he keeps missin the pan any suggestions

i thought it was but we got a good rain here an its definatly coon tracks i got no clue how hes getin my bait hell slip up an step in the wrong spot sooner or later

Are you barrying the trap? You need to put a square of toilet paper over the pan and bary it pretty close to the cubby hole. If you make the hole on the cubby to where he can only grab your bait by stepping in your trap, then your set. Good luck, kyle

Take a drive and find some culverts along the road. you shoud be able to see some trails going in and out pretty easy. Dig a little bed for the trap on one side of the trail and just cover with a few leaves. You should have more than what you need in a few nights.
