I have found out for here in south Alabama a slice of watermelon works great . I have set my trap in the same spot and caught 3 coons using the old melon .

i agree with the honeybun. they also love cream filled donuts. but don't spoil them by buying crispy cream. whatever you do don't use the red mt dew pop to moisten the bait. you catch possems with that.

We use canned cat food or corn soaked in beer untill it swells. They love it. Honey buns work good in the winter but around here the fire ants will eat up before a coon gets to it during the summer.

I have caught alot of coon and found out vanilla wafers works great and try to get some of them under the trip pan and set the trap real light or the coons will eat all your bait and not set off your trap.
