We are growning some corn( not 100's of acres mind you) buta few rows. Recently squirrels have started to steal the corn and it. I set up a trap (with apples because i had caught a rabbit with em earlir) and got nothing. What bait should i use for squirrels?

Take your dog out some early morning (or just sit yourself at the base of a tree) and hunt them.

For bait sqirrels can NOT resist peanut butter. It has a strong smell and will draw them right down out of the trees. You can even put an empty peanut butter jar inside the trap and the smell will get them every time. Smear some on crackers or a pine cone. You can literally sit there for a few hours (if you can sit still and not move around a lot) and shoot over the bait and the squirrels will still come even though their buddies are laying next to it. Sit under a leafy tree or bush because squirrels have good eyesight but a very short memory. They'll forget that they just heard a shot and keep coming back. What time are you planning on cooking them? Mmmm mmmm, corn-fed squirrel!
