I was wondering, what is the best bait to put in a live trap to get those coons in there. Any input will be appreciated

Thank you,
Logan

I put a little dry dog food in it then have vanille in a spray bottle and spray about 3 good mists through the top of the trap down on the dog food. Not to much dog food either. 1/2 a handful maybe.

Something else that will help you is find where water feeds into a creek. I usually find on the side of the road where the water has eroded a natural wing down down into the creek. Usually just the right size for the trap. It makes a natural funnel for the coon as he is coming into the smell of the vanilla.

I have had really good luck with peanut butter and marshmellows. Dog food works pretty well also but you will get the occational possum or skunk.
