What are the best 160 body gripper supports or stabilizers I should use . or what are some other idea's I could use ? I want to just mainly set on coon trails . Also should the traps be up off the ground some ? Thanks

Any 160 with strong springs will work fine. I'm using H stabilizers this year but in the past I used wooden stakes. You do want them off the ground a bit.

Just make your own wood stakes, if setting in the ground. If you're setting in a lean pole or in a tree, you can also make your own stabilizers, there are a lot of good free plans on the net for homemade stabilizers

I always used 5 gal bucket ,take a chain saw and cut one pass down each side put your 160 or 220 in, put trigger pointing up,that way nothing is in his eye sight.
I would go to W.Mart and buy that cheap[97cents spray paint] black,green brown and camo my buckets in side and out,not for the coon but for the thief,white bucket you can see a mile away.put your fish bait in the back.
