Yes I sell my hides every year but had brought a buddies along from previous year and they brought the same price. The fur buyer noticed it though and said it was no big deal

Ship them to the auction yourself and by pass the fur buyer if u have enough hides to make it worth while. I ship all my hides direct to nafa, or fur traders, and have never used a buyer.

And yes you can freeze hides. Make sure you roll them up tail first and fur in before you freeze em. A year is pushing it. I wouldn't keep em much mot than a year. Why freeze em why not scrape and board em?

Its ok for a little while but I would scrap and stretch them before it gets to hot out. And if your going to sell them I would. Send them in as soon as possible you don't want to have. Them al summmer hanging around.. a little extra work pays off when it come to.working up fur

Illinois state law actually says you may not posess GREEN hides 20 days before or after the season for which that animal is/has been taken. Im assuming if you buy a tag before season they may randomly check you? Ive heard of such things. GREEN is a non tanned hide. Im assuming thier definition of GREEN would include stretched and dried. Again I found 3 places in IL Regulation book it said 20 {twenty} days, not 30. Per 2012-13 IL Regulations, FYI. You may want to take a second gander at your law book Stihl. Who knows what else you missed? :? I always have to read ours 10 times before I understand half of what the fools are trying to say.
