I used the coon lure and didn't have much luck but I did use the Hudson river muskrat lure and caught a few

i took a stick and put lure on it and stuck it in the bank of the creek with a #1 guard trap in front of it

You are welcome, a real Good set for coons is to take a soda pop can that is open and empty and put it all the way in the bank if the creek and put bait down in the hole and put a little lure on the tab

Ive never heard of doing that but I'll try it when i finally get some traps back out, what I usually do for coon is put Tin Foil on the pan of the trap and put it in just enough water to cover the pan.
