Take a Rock lay on the back end of the cage... ( It won't bend or mess the trap up. ) Then Tie or chain to a fence post, Or Tree anything near it that is solid in the ground.. Take some Old Tree Trunks small 1s.. Place on each side of the Trap helps blend it in to the area aswell. Then Cover it up except for the Door with Hay or Straw..

Or Lead a chain from the back of the Trap to a Fence post. And Drive two Stakes 1 on each side of the trap. And wire the Trap to them.. simpler way. And you can't Even notice it.. GoodLuck!

cut a small tree that is about 8-10 ft long and wire your trap to it

Are you talking about a foothold or live/box ?

My footholds I use cable stakes or rebar stakes depending on the set. I haven't ever used a drag. On a live trap I just set it out with a can of tuna in it. I haven't had a live trap go anywhere, never thought of stakein it down.
