there is a guy on trapboard, his name on there is sixbits, that has caught everything that has fur in cages. ive seen the pics to prove it, coyote can be caught in a cage, probably not real often, though. cats will walk right in em. this fella traps in colorado and cages is all he can use there. you oughta get on that trapboard site. lots of good knowledge on there. it is a missouri based site, but all are welcome.

yotes can be caught in live traps. as long as all your scent is eliminated and your bait is right. around my area a live rooster would be catching the neighbors house cat. try it out though. keep the scent down and use some cover scent and you might do ok. live yotes go for better money than dead ones if you get a buyer. guys training dogs love them!

that is what I use to do trap for the live pens, and also belonged to Trapperman for 10 years you don't catch yotes in a cage. period.

dont let em talk ya down. im 19 and have done it. i had the live trap from tsc with the bait cage in the back and used it. a farmer down the road from me knew i trapped bought it for me to take care of some of his problem (they was killing his calfs and got ahold of his older goat dog) i used chicken liver in cup with blood (from walmart) and turkey feather hanging from top so wind would blow it.. 2 days later had this guy.. turned him loose after turkey hunting that morning and shot him for the farmer...he still has the fur... heres a pic...... ive been trapping for 13 years and have caught plenty of animals in all kinds of traps. i have not yet tried to catch a yote in a live trap but i have a home made one that is 90% done. i am going to finish it this week and let eveyone know what happens. they are only animals. i thought we are suppose to be smarter(aleast some of us).

and for the comment about someone probably put a yote in a live trap to make it look like they trapped it, ive grabbed a lot of coon but you will never see me grab a yote to try to put it in a live trap. like i said, atleast some of us.

Live pens were great but by law i cant do it anymore, In on top that guy id sell to was getting awfly picky bout stupid crap so it all went south at right time i guess.

Id rather handle coyote in a snare then hold a coon down in get snare off. yes ive literally handled hundreds of yotes in ill run a coon down when he crosses road. but ive got marks to prove it.

had a yote get hold of my finger once in i think if he would of been off the joint, he would of got her bit off. god it hurt he had it for good 2mins till i got hold of his tongue with my vise grips hehe dirty sucker.
