I use those hard rubber feed dishes you see at Tractor Supply that have the hollowed ot bottom. and they flare out at the bottom leaving and v shaped hollow space between the outside wall and the water bowl part when flipped upside down. I run some screws through the outside part every 3 inches around the bowl not going into the part that hold water then fille the hollowed out part with quickcreat. The screwws stop the create from falling out after hardening. Fro tied out dogs you can stick a long bolt in the great like a stake so you can shove it into the ground and then they wont drag it around with thier chain.

I always put water bowls at the outer edge of the chain space. They don't get caught up in the chain.
I have also usd concrete flower pots buried half into the ground.I got tired of not being able to clan them anywhere but in the space.

Yes and that is the point. They can't be knocked over.Yet they aren't so heavy a working man can't lift one.

i've dug hole to put a bucket in and found that if you dont bury up to the lip of the bucket and put it at the end of the dogs chain there are very few problems associated with the water bucket

:D

I love this Idea!! I have a Blue Tick that is quite hard headed.. She gets mad and there goes the water.. I have put stakes around it and even dug holes to put it down in just to keep her from spilling it.. I'll keep this in mind if I ever need another solution!! Thanks for Sharing!!

i put a 5 gallon buckets in the corner of my kennels and hold them firmly in place by running a bungee cord around them and attatching it to the chain ling on the sides almost behind the bucket. If a dog is just out to turn it over they can but it keeps mine upright and full. And they are easily removed for cleaning and filling.
