you might try some sevin dust around your kennel on the ground. But I would check the warnings on it. you might not want it around your dogs.

I am an AVID suer of Sevin. They make a few different kinds of it.
I have used the Sevin granular,Sevin-5 dust and the Sevin spray.

The granular is put down over your whole property,or at least a good size area around your dog space. You can put it down when it is raining or spray the hose over it.Either way you need to wet it down.A good rule of thumb is to not let the dogs get in it untill after it is about 80% dry.

The spray attaches to the garden hose and like the granular,it needs to be dry before the dogs should get out in it.Heed this warning about the spray...it will stain stuff white if you do not rinse it off before it dries.

The Sevin-5 dust is what I use in the doghouse bedding. It is a low enough solution that it will not harm the dogs. You can also put some on a brush and brush it into the dogs hair.

Combine that with Frontline or Bio-Spot and you should be pretty wel covered on fleas, ticks and a host of other unwanted bugs!

I would suggest cedar chips, and either front line flee and tick treatment but some peaple think that cedar chips are bad for dog another thing that I herd works it that you get insect repelant ear tags for cattle and clip them on the dogs coller they are cheaper and last longer
