Yall ever have trouble with the dogs getting there feet caught between the boards in the floor....Think i'm gonna build a couple myself if it will be cheap enuff.....

is there anywhere on here that has the directions on how to build one of these...an im sure the dog cant jus aim an pee through the cracks so has anybody had trouble with the dogs pee stainin an soaking into the wood

I use kennels off the ground because where I live parvo is so bad so I use them for whelping pens. Just not gonna take any chances.

Hey tc u better shut the back door on your turn out pen or them red eagle dogs will have another coon treed in the neighbors yard. Lol or is it just an optical allusion that it is open?

the pic is from back when i had 2 lots and the door was open between to two. i have since divided the back lot into three 12 x 20 runs.
thats what happens when you have too many dogs to keep em hunted right.

these above ground kennels are great. I'm in the process of putting together another right now. I have choosen a flooring product from Kennel Tuff it has turned out to be great!! No the turds don't fall right out but in a day or two they do. I'll have to post some pics when weather breaks.

Im looking at building a off the ground pen. What do people recommend a wire bottom pen or treated 1 x 4 for a flooring

I used one by fours spaced half inch apart to wash it down. I had a top on mine so they were untreated to save money

2 by 2 's set 1-3/4 inches apart. (the width of a 2 by 2, which is actually 1 & 3/4 inches) w/un-treated wood.
the stool will stick to the treated wood.
wire is too hard on thier feet.
whole purpose of an off the ground pen is so the stool and urine fall through the floor to the ground and the dog does'nt have to walk in it and you don't have to clean them...
