I keep puttin regular grass hay in the dog house and he lays on it for like a day sometimes only a couple of hours then pushes it out of his house. What is goin on??

Kinda like you sleeping in the bed.........when you get too warm you kick the covers off, this time a year, I can imagine the grass hay makes for a warm bed for a dog..........probably too warm so he is making his bed comfortable.

yeah my dogs do the same thing and i got to thinkin maybe because they were getting too hot like buckshot said

yeah i have a board nailed in the inside of my houses so they can't kick it out. but alot of nights they sleep outide of the house.

i only use the yellow wheat straw. i won't use any type of hay. i can lay in wheat straw all day. about 10 minutes laying in hay straw will make ya itch like crazy...

my hounds love the hay if the dont have any hay they wont even lay in their houses

you talkin bout hay like you feed a horse...?

i use pine straw in the winter summer dont need anything

i know of using straw types and swamp grass. but i just never heard of anybody using hay.not even hay straw.
