I've been researching and doing some figuring on kennels and run across a 5X10 kennel with 9ga. welded wire on it made my Doc Bob and was wondering if anyone has any comment on them. How do they hold up? They seem pretty reasonable compared to others. I think tractor supply sales them.

A buddy of mine has one and he has no complaints holds up nice and I think they look better than chainlink too.

Flatcreek,
I just bought those same kennels and I like them. They are strong, neat, easy/fast to put together. You can connect them together any way you like; I made 4 runs plus an enclosed walkway with gates. If your lucky catch them on sale. They just went on sale here (Louisiana) for labor day (regular $329/ on sale for $279). I bought 2 last week at $329 and when I went to buy more they were on sale for $279. Do the math; about the same to build it out of chain link. Extra gates are $99 dollars. Highly recommend.

Another very important factor with these kennels is the strength compared to chain link. Ive heard of male dogs ripping through the chain link kennel to get to a female in heat. Now i don't regret spending a little bit extra on the stronger kennels. Going to pick up another one here soon.

A buddy of mine has the ones that tractor supply sells and there are rusting out at the bottom and they are only 6 years old and r on concrete. That's what I was going to get but that and the price is what pushed me away from them.

He must have male dogs? Reason I ask is because I dont think you can keep anything from rusting out with them peeing on it lol. I used some feedlot panels for my pens and after abt 5 or 6 yrs even they are rusted in two at the bottom from my male peeing on it. So I wouldn't necessarily turn from the kennels because of that..esp after 6 yrs

These are what I used:

A 16 foot feedlot panel cost $20 a 10 by 6 panel cost $150 that's a big difference and a the feedlot panel is a lot more heavy wire and what has rusted out in his is at the bottom where it is the 2 inch tube anybody with a little sense would see the difference in the price amd they make a lot better pens. I just put up a building over my pad and put 6 pens up it costed me 600 to build the pens u can't hardly buy 1 pen for that and I built mine out of feed panel. If u take the time to sit down and add it up it pays
