The floorboards are spaced by one inch, its hard to see... is that what your talking qbout?

awesome job real simple and effective, better than on the ground where they can dig out and easier clean up, im torn on whether i like it around the tree good shelter from rain n snow but limbs falling might be sketchy or are you adding a roof?

i like the size and the shade but i'd be concerned about limbs falling and it might be harder to keep clean. maybe you should have cut the dead part of tree out before you built your kennel. otherwise i looks fine and i know you dog will be happy there.
