I have a Browning Gold Hunter that is about 13 years old and has had literally thousands of shells thru it. Last year, it jammed, and upon taking it apart I found a small chunk of plastic inside the action not allowing the slide to function. I removed the plastic, put the gun back together, and it worked fine- until 2 weeks ago when it did the same thing on a dove field. I dropped the trigger assembly and there, again, was a chunk of plastic blocking the slide from moving. My question is, where is this plastic, that's obviously dissintegrating, coming from? I can't see anywhere inside that gun that has a partially broken piece of this plastic showing. My only guess is that it's some sort of bushing where the reciever goes into the stock, but the fit is still tight. Also, besides the jamming, what kind of problems can this cause? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
