Matter of preferance thats sort of like asking whats the best truck but my choice is a EMF SSA (Colt clone) in .22 with a 5in barrel or browning buckmark with a 5in barrel

personal preference. There is no such thing as a best 22 pistol for coon hunting.

If I were going to pick one to carry it would be either a ruger single six, or a ruger markII

I have a Ruger 22 bearcat. I like it because it is small and it is stainless.

Ruger markIII! Can't go wrong with one of the longest made semi-auto pistols. It is very accurate and reliable.

i have discovered one thing about training dogs... to begin with you have to be smarter than the dog...now if it turns out that the dog is smarter than you trade him in on one that is a little dumber ! ...... come on sunset !
