I feel that there more of a novility then anything I had one for a while but found it a bit delicute and prone to breakage where the stock joins the action other people that I have talked to that owned one agree so it wouldent be my first choice for a survivle rifle or even a hunting gun if your looking for a true survivle rifle that can be stowed in a small space you might look at the Kel tec 223 folding rifle it my new survivle rifle more punch and stows in almost a small a space |

Hey Troop, get you a good .22 pistol and get good with it, and you'll never look back. I bought a Browning Buckmark last year and put a red dot on it and love it. You carry it in a holster, it weighs about 2 lb., and you won't be tempted to lean it up against a tree and walk off and forget it (who amongst us HASN'T had to go back and try to remember where the tree was to get our rifle?) |

This is my coon getter. As mentioned I like how light weight it is and that it sticks to my hip.It takes a little practice shooting a pistol at night but once you get it down...you will find it's dang near the only way to go! |

I have one its a neat gun but can be finicky (spelling?) with ammo. I never use it, I have shot some squirrels with it though. |

Tripntroop I've using the AR 15 survival rife for about 20 years and I love it..I've had a few problems with jamming but nothing serious..The rifle I have was made by Charter Arms which I believe is out of business..They are now made by Henry Arms and I'm sure the quality is much better.. |

if you want to survive you better have something that holes more than one bullet. |

For years we carried a 22 high Standard [great gun for coon] and for bear hunting we used a 9mm Luger with wad cutters,[shoot right in the neck dead before he hit the ground].but most bears we left in the tree, maybe kill on a year.for meat and lard. |

It has been my experience through the years that quite often they will get hung up to use a 22 rifle the 17 caliber has more shock it seems to be a much better caliber we have Placerd shots right between the 2 eyes and still have a lot of fight on the ground. Quite often we have to separate to put the finishing shot . my Stevens 22 works real well but there's been a lot of nites I wish I had a 17 posted using Outdoor Hub Campfire |
