I just picked up a left handed 1963 German made Weatherby Mark V deluxe that has never been shot. It even had a Weatherby scope on it, too. And yes, I won't be the one to fire it, either.

I'll try to get some photos of it to post.

That sounds like a winner Bubba. I'm getting like you, my bones are to old to take the punishment of those magnum rifles any more. Bad shoulder really hurts the next day after slinging a few down range with a magnum rifle. Let me know how it groups when you get it in the X mark.

It's a 300 wby mag but recoil never really bothered me. Between my .338 and shooting 1 ounce 12 gauge slugs I've gotten used to having my shoulder pounded.

Thanks, Bud. The guy paid $700 in 1963! That was a fortune back then! It was also delivered right to his home! Times sure have changed! I have to say I would love to try it out but I really don't want to take its first shot!

I did some research and found that the german made weatherby's were made by Sauer and the scopes were made by Zeiss.
