ruger makes a vaquero and smith and colt has some old doubles but they both have moon clips the vaquero allows the case to set on a raised rib inside the cylinder so you wont have to use moon clips plus is comes as a 45 long colt w/ the acp cyl so you can get some variety. i'm not sure if they make it in the "new vaquero" and they also have a 38-40/.40 s&w combo

I agree with ruff. He has it right as far as my opinion goes. What he suggests gives you more for your money in the long run.

S&W also makes a .45 acp revolver and the tarous tracker used to come in 45acp dont know if they still do or not some of the colt clones come
with a 45acp cylender or it can be brought for about 50$ and fitted if
U already own one thats what I did for cheaper shooting as acp rounds are cheaper then 45LC Ruger used to make one that was .357 but also came with a 9mm cyclender had one once upon a time and like a fool traded it off for something not as good

I have a Rugar Blackhawk 45 long colt with an interchangeable cyclinder for 45 acp. Haven't used the 45 acp yet. Think it would be much hotter to shoot than the long colts as the 45 acp is designed for semi-autos.

it depends on the load. I have some COR-BONS in 45 Colt and they are pretty hot. In fact you cna only shoot them in a blackhawk or a redhawk.

Personally I wouldn't mess with 45 auto in a revolver. the half moon clips can be a major pain. Get a blackhawk in 45 colt and get some COR-BONS or Load your own using some gold dot 230 grain slugs and it'll knock down nearly anything.
